Basic Information
As the name suggests, snow melting agent is used to melt snow and ice, instead of salt, it is mainly used as snow and ice removal for urban roads, highways, airports, ports, bridges and other facilities. Some snow melting agents can also be used as rapid melting of ice and snow during winter construction in construction projects. Additives and antifreeze additives. Snow melting agent can not damage roads, concrete components, bridge facilities, nor can it damage flowers, plants, trees, crops, animals, and people.
Type and performance
At present, there are many types of snowmelting agents developed in China, which are divided into solid and liquid according to their physical state; according to their composition, they are divided into inorganic and inorganic and organic mixtures. The mixture of inorganic and organic is the most. Among them, environmentally friendly snowmelting agents It is mostly a mixture of chemicals such as MgCl2- with no or less chlorine; it can also be classified according to different uses. Generally, it is used in urban roads with lower quality, and used in bridges, airports and other places with higher quality requirements, but its quality is all Must meet standards. In addition to the composition ratio of the environmentally friendly snow melting agent, which is the key to the technology, the additives (such as cosolvents) are also kept secret.
The current domestic production and sales data of snow melting agents rely on a rough calculation of the production of calcium chloride. The annual output of domestic snow melting agent is about 1 million tons, and the export volume accounts for 1/3. There are two main types of deicing agents, organic deicing agents and chlorine salt deicing agents. Organic snow melting agents have no corrosive effect on infrastructure. Due to their high prices, they are only used in a small amount in airports, golf courses and other places. The most widely used snow melting agents in cities and highways are chloride salt snow melting agents.
Types of snow melting agent
One type is an organic snow melting agent with potassium acetate as the main component. This type of snow melting agent has a good snow melting effect and basically has no corrosion damage, but its price is too high and is generally used in important places such as airports.
The other type is inorganic snow melting agents with "chloride salt" as the main component, such as sodium chloride, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, potassium chloride, etc., commonly known as "deicing salt". Its advantage is that the price is cheap, only equivalent to 1/10 of the organic snowmelting agent, but it is very serious for large-scale public infrastructure corrosion. Our common snow-melting agents belong to this category, and the most used are chloride salts containing impurities (ie industrial salts).
